The committee reviewed a Major Development Review Sketch Plan application for a private driveway and stream crossing on Little Fawn Lane. Key discussions centered on the environmental impacts of the proposed stream crossing and the necessity for an adequately sized culvert. Staff raised concerns regarding the driveway's steep grade, potential for emergency vehicle access issues, and the need for alternative designs to ensure safety and prevent erosion in the conservation easement area. The committee requested further documentation, including test pits and additional environmental correspondence, before proceeding to a final plan review.
The Staff Review Committee discussed a Contract Zoning application for a mixed-use development at 53-69 Maine Street. Key topics included the applicant's proposal for increased building height, reduced off-street parking, and the incorporation of underground parking with mechanical lifts. Committee members and the applicant reviewed parking management, snow removal, EV infrastructure, and the status of sidewalk improvements within the public right-of-way.
