The council addressed numerous administrative and operational items across several meetings. Key topics included discussions on COVID-19 response planning, awarding and rejecting various contracts for wastewater system improvements and construction projects, the approval of municipal department manuals, and setting public hearings for conditional use permits. The council also authorized the hiring of a program coordinator for housing assistance, discussed solid waste collection contracts and potential legal actions, and approved various budget revisions and resolutions, including the naming of a building in honor of a late council member and incentives for staff vaccinated against COVID-19.

The council meeting addressed several community events and municipal business. Key topics included a review and celebration of the Little League District 21 tournament hosted by the city, recognition of staff contributions to successful public events including Independence Day celebrations and library activities, and the swearing-in of the new Chief of Police.
