The commission held a session that included the appointment of the Planning and Zoning Commission chairperson, vice chairperson, and secretary. A pre-application work session was conducted regarding the Buckhorn Crossing project, where commission members provided feedback on design modifications, size, and density. Additionally, staff provided updates on town council ordinances, project status for Tower Center Phase 2, and upcoming educational and refresher training sessions for commission members.

The Council meeting involved a session as the Liquor License Authority, where a special event permit for the LG Tri was discussed and approved. Legislative actions included the approval of an ordinance concerning the adoption of the 2024 Model Traffic Code and updates to vehicle and traffic violations. Presentations were received regarding local suicide statistics and the Council-staff relationship. Additionally, the Council reviewed the traffic calming process and findings for Buckhorn Valley Boulevard, received input on the mobile vending permit process, and held a staff report session covering topics such as fire restrictions, upcoming holiday celebrations, and fire weather conditions. An executive session was convened for legal advice regarding council member training.

The council meeting included the approval of several special event permits, including the Bighorn Gravel Race, the Star Dancing Gala, and the Lincoln Day Dinner. The council heard public comments regarding traffic-calming measures in Buckhorn Valley and a presentation from a candidate for the Holy Cross Energy Board.
