Chester CUSD 139 Board of Education voted to adopt a resolution in support of Vision 2030, a blueprint to enhance public education. The resolution endorses Vision 2030's emphasis on keeping students safe, keeping high-quality educators in front of students, enhancing post-secondary success, and improving measurements of what is working well in schools.

The Board of Education meeting addressed the adoption of the school district budget for the fiscal year, acknowledging that the budget was prepared in tentative form and made available for public inspection. A public hearing was held following legal requirements. The budget includes estimates of amounts available in each fund and expenditures from each fund. The measures taken to balance the budget were also discussed.
