The presenter also addressed common misconceptions about pyrolysis, confirming it is not incineration and that sorted, prepped postconsumer waste is suitable for the process. The project is expected to include upgrades to roads and the Union Pacific rail line in the industrial park. The board members inquired about the source of raw material, payment for landfill-bound plastics, and the basis for estimated property tax revenues.
