SouthWest Metro serves as an intermediate district offering specialized educational services to member school districts, encompassing Adult Education, Alternative Learning, Care & Treatment Programming, Career and Technical Education, and Special Services. A strategic planning process commenced in spring 2025 to establish short-term and long-term goals and strategic priorities, incorporating input from leadership, staff, families, and students, with the aim of guiding the district's future direction.
