The meeting agenda includes reviewing and approving the consent agenda (minutes, claims, contracts, personnel matters), hearing public communication, reviewing superintendent communications and reports (ISL summary, student handbooks, legislative priorities, HVAC update), addressing old and new business (fundraising list, ceiling tile quote), and engaging in board discussion. Personnel matters include resignations, offerings, transfers, upgrades, and open enrollment. Contract and agreement items include Delta Dental renewal, EBS administration agreement, EBS renewal form, MOU with MICA, and JAMF annual renewal.

The meeting covered the approval of the FY24 River Hills lease agreement with an estimated amount of \u0024665,000. Updates were provided on potential funding for the swimming pool, summer school services (July 10-14 and July 17-21), and educational assistant wage increases. Additional information regarding potential funding for pool updates will be provided in the fall of 2023.

The board meeting covered various topics, including updates on the LINK Mentoring Program and a review of the line item budget and 5-year projection. Discussions included the impact of school vouchers and the need for additional funding for concurrent enrollment. A presentation on College/Career Readiness options at the High School highlighted various pathways, work experience opportunities, and apprenticeships. The board approved the purchase and installation of heat pumps, accepted a donation for before-school supervision, and approved the first reading of the 400 Series Policy. A change to CompuClaim as the Medicaid billing vendor was also approved. Finally, the board discussed sending a letter to legislators regarding the voucher bill and future funding needs.

The board meeting included discussions on Homeland Security assessments and potential grant funding, the planning process for a new GHS North parking lot, an update on the 11 11th Ave project, and upcoming BoardDocs training. Other key topics were property insurance changes, approval of a swing set purchase and donation, backstop repairs, vehicle purchases (a truck and a suburban), and legislative priorities.
