Lindale City Council Regular Meeting
The Council approved plans to seek bids for the installation of a shade structure at the Darden Splash Pad and authorized an interlocal cooperation contract between the Texas Department of Public Safety and the municipal court. Rate adjustments were approved for solid waste collection services, as well as water and sewer services, each reflecting CPI-based increases. Additionally, the council approved an update to the engineering agreement with C.T. Brannon Corporation and decided to replace carpeting at the Kinzie Community Center with linoleum flooring. During executive sessions, the council discussed legal matters and the employment duties of the City Manager, subsequently authorizing the payment of accrued sick leave to a former employee. A budget workshop for the 2026-2027 fiscal year was held, covering proposed personnel additions, and the council approved the proposed tax rate for the upcoming year while scheduling a future public hearing for the budget and tax rate.
