Board meetings and strategic plans from Jeremy Boerner's organization
The Cajon Valley Sexual Health Curriculum for 2025-26 outlines a comprehensive program designed to educate students on sexual and reproductive health. Developed in alignment with the California Healthy Youth Act and state education codes, its purpose is to complement parental guidance by equipping students with skills for healthy relationships, responsible decision-making, and self-protective behaviors. Key topics include consent, reproductive anatomy, prevention of STIs and unintended pregnancies, and goal setting, with an overall aim to foster lifelong healthy relationships.
This document outlines the monitoring of goals, actions, and resources for the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The strategic direction is focused on three main goals: preparing all students for gainful employment aligned with their strengths, interests, and values; fostering a safe, empowered, and respected environment for students, staff, and families; and ensuring all students excel in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and mathematics. The plan sets desired outcomes to be achieved by the 2026-2027 academic year.
The meeting included presentations from Avocado Elementary School and on PTA Reflections Awards, as well as LCAP Goals 2 & 3. The board nominated and voted for the positions of Board President, Board Vice President, and Clerk of The Board. They also discussed and approved various consent items, including personnel items, gifts and donations, warrants, wire transfers, purchase orders, continuation of emergency pool repair, renewal of bids for custodial supplies, and agreements with multiple universities for internship credential programs and student teachers. The board also approved a resolution for cooperative contracting for Milestone Licensing and established a new position for a Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic. Additionally, the board approved a change to the 2026 board meeting schedule, the First Interim Report for 2025-26, and resolutions for the issuance/sale of 2026 General Obligation Refunding Bonds and the Annual and Five-Year Facility Fees Report for 2024-2025. They also adopted an updated Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Report Card and approved a Global Closeout Amendment with Nuvve Holding Corporation and design and engineering services for EV Charging Stations.
This document serves as the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) Federal Addendum for Cajon Valley Union School District, outlining the district's strategy for utilizing federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) funds to supplement and enhance local priorities. The plan aligns federal resources with the district's vision of 'Happy Kids, in Healthy Relationships, on the Path to Gainful Employment' and its three LCAP goals: preparing students for the World of Work, ensuring a safe and respectful environment, and achieving academic excellence in core subjects. Key focus areas include monitoring student progress, reducing disciplinary removals, promoting career technical education, ensuring educator equity, fostering parent and family engagement, providing comprehensive services for homeless and immigrant students, facilitating student transitions, supporting professional growth, and integrating technology for academic achievement. The overarching aim is to maximize federal investments to support underserved students and improve overall student outcomes.
This document serves as an Annual Update for developing the 2021-22 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). It provides an analysis of the 2019-20 LCAP and the 2020-21 Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan. Key strategic goals include ensuring student access to high-quality teachers and diverse educational programs for college and career success, promoting a positive school climate with health and wellness initiatives, fostering student progress and proficiency in standards for global competencies, and cultivating shared community and parental involvement in decision-making. The update also details successes and challenges in implementing in-person and distance learning, addressing pupil learning loss, supporting mental health and social-emotional well-being, enhancing pupil and family engagement, and providing school nutrition, all of which inform the development of the 2021-24 LCAP.
