The Board conducted closed sessions to discuss potential litigation and personnel matters. Key actions included appointing members to various advisory committees such as the Bay Bridge Airport Advisory Committee, Police Accountability Board, Social Services Advisory Board, and Travel and Tourism Advisory Committee. The Board approved a revision to the Retiree Health Insurance Program policy regarding vesting duration. Other business included an informational presentation on the Comprehensive Water and Sewer Plan, a summary of legislative activity, approval of a public works agreement for a residential subdivision, authorization for an annual payment to the Maryland Department of Information Technology, and approval of a budget amendment for workforce loans.

The board discussed NRCS funding and staffing, reviewed financial reports, and deliberated on options for a maturing certificate of deposit. Discussions included shop maintenance, including tree removal; field and planner reports; and upcoming roundtable events for farmers. Updates were provided on CRP sign-ups, noxious weed management, and various agricultural assistance programs. Additionally, the board addressed organizational reports, including staff departures, the LEEF program, cover crop updates, the poultry litter spreader status, and sponsorship and scholarship opportunities for educational and community events.

The County Commissioners held a public hearing to review the proposed FY2027 County Budget. Community members provided public comment on topics including property taxes, mental health programs in schools, suicide prevention initiatives, support for specific local infrastructure projects, and the overall budget allocation.

The board discussed backflow device requirements for a multi-use building and conducted a review regarding a complaint filed against a service provider. After reviewing testimony and provided documents, the board concluded that the current evidence did not warrant disciplinary action. Additionally, an update was provided regarding the SKI project, and the board authorized payments for its members.
