The Belen Consolidated Schools (BCS) 2022-2025 Strategic Plan focuses on four key goals: preparing students for college and careers by raising academic standards and closing achievement gaps; engaging families and communities through various communication platforms; building a collaborative leadership structure to support district goals; and recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly qualified staff. The plan uses a multi-layered system of support (MLSS) and data-driven decision-making to address the need for improved proficiency in reading and math. Specific outcomes include aligning instructional resources to grade-level standards, implementing a three-year early literacy plan, increasing student proficiency in math and reading, ensuring students are on track for career pathways, increasing graduation rates, improving communication and collaboration among stakeholders, increasing attendance rates, and strengthening leadership capacity through various initiatives and professional development.
