The committee meeting addressed several administrative items including the coordinator report, a review of Child Care Planning Council protocols, discussion regarding feedback from the previous council meeting, and planning for future meetings. The meeting was unable to proceed with formal actions due to a lack of quorum.

The committee reviewed the current membership status and evaluated applications for two new members. A motion was carried to approve the slate of new members for the Child Care Consumer Seats.

The committee held a meeting covering several agenda items, including a public comment regarding the addition of support staff to a program and an update concerning the current council membership roster. Additionally, the committee formally approved a new member application.

The committee discussed revisions to the executive committee protocol review process and received an update regarding the recruitment process for the program assistant position. Communication efforts regarding the pause of SNAP benefits were reviewed. Furthermore, the committee evaluated a professional development speaker event, discussed planning for upcoming meetings, and explored training opportunities to develop a land acknowledgement. Strategies to diversify future Hot Topic presentations were also addressed.

The agenda focuses on the Executive Committee report, which covers council protocols, branding updates, and a draft ordinance regarding civil rights for the local immigrant population. It also includes a coordinator report on the UPK sustainability project and member profiles, as well as a presentation on Measure I and the First 5 Strategic Plan. Additionally, the council will consider providing an endorsement for the draft ordinance concerning the civil rights of the county's immigrant population and all residents.
