The architects detailed their process of active listening, site scanning, and design iteration to solve specific spatial issues. Discussions focused on optimizing existing space rather than new construction, specifically regarding cafeteria capacity, layout efficiency, kitchen storage limitations, and acoustic improvements. Additionally, there was a discussion about transitioning from traditional gang-style bathrooms to single-user water closets to improve student privacy, security, and supervision, thereby reducing issues like vandalism and vaping.

School Board Public Meeting
The school board conducted a meeting to discuss a proposed land acquisition on Cob Road. Key discussion topics included the urgent need for a dedicated transportation facility to address campus crowding, the necessity of replacing aging diesel fuel tanks, the potential for adding gas storage to achieve cost savings, and the goal of alleviating significant traffic congestion during school event and dismissal times. The board also clarified that the project would be funded through existing district reserves rather than new taxes, and noted that while the development of new athletic fields is possible, the primary motivation for the land acquisition is addressing transportation and infrastructure needs.
