This document articulates the vision, mission, and philosophical foundations for the Statesmen College Preparatory Academy for Boys. The vision is to cultivate a generation of well-rounded, educated, and experienced African American and Latino men within 20 years, who will serve as leaders, social justice advocates, entrepreneurs, and alumni in leadership roles. The mission is to equip young men with the academic skills, social competencies, and personal development necessary to navigate life challenges, complete college, and become premier agents of social change in their communities. This is founded on the belief in high expectations, engaging pedagogy, and warm, trusting relationships, specifically for Black and Latino male students of urban poverty.
