The board held a work session which included an executive session regarding real estate matters. Following this, the board conducted student recognitions for accomplishments in girls soccer, FFA chapter achievements, and career development events. The board also received a presentation from the extensions team, who provided a reflection on the school year, discussed the benefits of the program for students and educators, and outlined proposed structural changes for the upcoming school year including a revised schedule for extension activities.

The board meeting focused on several key items, including the approval of personnel recommendations, annual student trips, and fundraising projects, as well as the acceptance of a donation for Slate Elementary. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to discussing the creation of a new Chief Legal and Policy Officer position to reduce legal fees and handle day-to-day HR and special education legal matters.
