Municipal Council Council Meeting
The council meeting addressed several items including deputations regarding the town's official plan and a bylaw to amend fees and charges. A request was made to defer decisions on specific lands in the official plan to ensure clarity for development applications. Another deputation discussed the redistribution of retail commercial space within community design plan areas and requested a cap on per-unit fees to maintain cost recovery standards. Staff provided input on the feasibility of reallocating commercial space, and council debated the merits of these requests against the existing official plan vision.
