The Board of Trustees convened to discuss several key issues. Approvals were granted for bill payments, Ordinance 2025-15 regarding tax levy and assessment, and Resolutions 17-2025 for the purchase of rock salt, 18-2025 authorizing a maintenance engineering services agreement with Frank Novotny & Associates, Inc., and 19-2025 authorizing an engagement letter with Miller, Canfield, Paddock And Stone, P.L.C. The Mayor reported on snow removal and parking complaints, urging caution. Trustees complimented Public Works on snow removal efforts. Department reports included updates from the Police Chief on street sweeping and parking regulations, the Fire Chief on call volume, and the Public Works Director on parking restrictions and a memorial for Trustee Sam Savopoulos.

Amendment of the Village of Stickney Zoning Ordinance regarding permitted uses in the single-family zoning district. The amendments clarify existing regulations regarding short-term vacation rentals, limiting their use to no more than once per calendar year on any property within the district.

Amendment of Chapter 70, Solid Waste, Article II, Refuse, Recyclables and Yard Waste, Division 1, Generally, Section 70-34, Collection from single-family residences, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Stickney, Illinois. The fee for such collection shall be $30.00 per two-month period for each housekeeping unit. All bills rendered shall be paid within 15 days of the date on which the bill is rendered.

The Board of Trustees meeting included discussions and actions on various topics. A new Village Trustee, Sam Savopoulos, was appointed. Bids were approved for Street Rehabilitation Phase 6 and 1.0 MG Torosphere Elevated Tank Painting. A resolution was passed to authorize the submission of a question concerning the supply of electricity to the electors. The Park Master Plan was approved, and permission was granted for two block parties. Reports were presented by the President, individual Trustees, and the Public Works Supervisor, who provided an update on the distribution of new recycling bins. A request from the Stickney Youth Football League to hold a parade was also reviewed.

The Board of Trustees addressed various financial and administrative matters, including approving bills for payment and accepting reports from the Illinois Department of Revenue for sales tax and motor fuel tax. They approved a payment estimate for the Elevated Tank Painting project and passed an ordinance amending 'Alcoholic Liquor' by adding another "E" License. The board also approved the selection of Illinois Energy Aggregation, LLC as Electric Aggregation Consultants. Permission was granted to The Salvation Army to conduct their Red Kettle Campaign. Information was shared regarding a Nicor utility customer scam alert and updates on the Illinois Department of Transportation's plans to improve I-55. A reminder was given about the upcoming election, including information on how to check on judges and the referendum questions on the ballot. Trustees also mentioned the Veteran's Day program and a collection for the Troops.
