New West Schools Long Range Facilities Plan 2026-2036
This update to the Long Range Facilities Plan for New West Schools outlines the district's intentions over the next decade to address significant student capacity needs, driven by being oversaturated and challenges in acquiring land. The plan prioritizes site intensification and the construction of larger schools on existing properties, notably proposing two scenarios for the Tweedsmir campus. The strategic objectives include moving students from portable classrooms into purpose-built facilities, alleviating stress on the educational system, and restoring green space at schools, with the aim to address capacity challenges well past 2035.
