The Bullock County Commission Regular Meeting

The Bullock County Commission meeting addressed several key issues. Discussion included the direct deposit of county employee funds, which was tabled for a later date. Approval was granted to advertise for vacant seats on the Bullock County Healthcare Authority Board of Directors. Funding for site preparation for Sawara, LLC., was approved, along with the purchase of property to expand the airport. An extension was granted for the jail inmate phone system contract until bids are received. A contract renewal for AVENU, with provisions added regarding lodging tax audit and compliance services, was approved. The discussion of Lease Warrants for the Schneider Electric project was tabled pending completion of the 2019 audit. A part-time employee was approved for the Engineering Department. The herbicide bid recommendation was approved, as was the purchase of CIMS engineering software. Finally, a written warning was placed in the County Administrator's file following a discussion of disciplinary actions. A work session was scheduled to discuss Legal/Compliance examination findings.
