The Board of Trustees discussed and acted upon several items including the early childhood literacy and math goals, college, career and military readiness goals, and the Juvenile Justice & Youth Diversion Grant Program application. They approved a resolution to pay employees for time missed during a weather event and accepted donations for the athletic and career technology programs. Additionally, the Board approved Budget Amendment #6, awarded an architectural services contract, established a school schedule alignment, and approved multiple teaching stipends. Human resources actions included approving personnel contracts, leaves of absence, and the appointment of a new Director of Social Studies and a Chief Technology Officer.

The board convened for a Team of Eight workshop. The session included a period for public participation and a closed meeting held in accordance with the Texas Government Code.

The Board of Trustees held a Texas Academic Performance Report Hearing. The session included opening exercises led by students, the introduction of special guests including student festival qualifiers and award winners, and a presentation by district staff regarding the annual report information. The meeting concluded after an opportunity for public participation was provided.
