The Commission discussed and approved several commission orders, including cash transfers for payroll, taxes, and CERF. They also addressed a proposition to exempt senior citizens from property tax increases and approved temporary liquor licenses for the Shopping Under the Sun event. Monte Fenner discussed the Mount Olive bridge replacement and the water line project to the Welcome Center. Treasurer Jared Brewer provided a report on sales taxes received, and Collector Cindi Sims presented the July 2024 distribution report. County Clerk Brittni Burton explained the certification of the August primary election.

The Hazard Mitigation Plan's Memorandum of Agreement was approved, allowing the County to receive FEMA reimbursement for disasters. Reports were given on sales taxes and the August distribution report, including surplus funds from a tax sale.
