Goodyear City Council Regular Meeting
The City Council meeting included a recognition of Battalion Chief Darrin Green for his 24 years of service and a proclamation for the Goodyear Little League 11U team for winning the state championship. Several consent agenda items were approved, including liquor licenses for local restaurants, budget amendments, an intergovernmental agreement for police recruit training, and various resolutions concerning city code and property acquisitions. Public hearings were held regarding a Special Use Permit for a solar energy generation facility and the establishment of a special public improvement cost recovery area for the Estrella Parkway widening project. An executive session was convened to discuss legal advice and negotiations related to Spring Training facilities.
