The City Council reviewed various zoning ordinance amendments, including the addition of emergency overnight shelters as conditional uses in specific districts and requests for conditional use permits for residential and commercial properties. The Council addressed liquor license applications, specifically the change of managing officer for Big Bend Liquor. Additionally, the Council authorized intergovernmental agreements with the City of Clayton for a regional fire authority feasibility study and the provision of technology services. Gina Komerous was formally commended for her 30 years of service to the city, and the Council heard an appeal regarding a historic preservation decision concerning demolition on Commonwealth Avenue.

The commission agenda focuses on a wide range of sustainability initiatives, including planning for upcoming community events and involvement, coordinating newsletter and social media content, and organizing a shredding and recycling event. Additional discussion topics include progress on the Sustainability Master Plan, native plant ordinance evaluation, building code adoption, the Green Business Challenge, and strategies to improve walkability and ADA compliance in the city.
