Lynn Water & Sewer Commission Meeting
The Lynn Water & Sewer Commission Meeting addressed several key areas including the Phase I West Lynn Sewer Separation Construction Project, awarding a contract to P. Gioioso & Sons, Inc. Additionally, a one-year contract for crushed stone and Lyn Pac was awarded to J&J Landscape Company. The commission also approved a one-year contract for water treatment plant chemicals for F/Y 2021. Project updates were provided for the WWTP 20-Year Contract and the Water Treatment Plant, including compliance with federal and state drinking water regulations. The CSO project was also discussed. The commission approved the extension and renewal of contracts with CDM Smith, Tighe & Bond, and Weston & Sampson for general engineering consulting services for F/Y 2021. Furthermore, the proposed F/Y 2021 Operating Budget, Capital Improvement Plan, and Rates & Fees Schedule were approved, including a 4% increase in rates. The commission also discussed intermunicipal agreements regarding flows from other communities during rain events. Finally, the commission acknowledged the retirement of Treasurer Travers and considered Ryan Boisselle as the Acting Treasurer.
