Pleasant Hill Schools received recognition for implementation of School Wide Positive Behavior Strategies, with Pleasant Hill Primary School achieving Tier 3 Gold status as a PBIS Model for Missouri Schools. Other schools (Elementary, Intermediate, Middle School, and High School) also received exemplary recognition levels. Key discussion items included an update on Bond projects covering the Middle School renovation, storm shelter ordinance with the City, and updates on the bleacher and field house projects. The board also reviewed an NWEA update and discussed the Board Goals for the District across five categories: Leadership and Governance support, Academic Excellence, Financial Stability, Bond Implementation, and Inclusive Communication. The Board Goals were subsequently accepted.

Key discussion points included tabling an agenda item to the following month, recognizing the State Champion Nursery Landscape Team for their national competition participation, and receiving updates on bond projects including the Middle School Addition, Fieldhouse, HVAC, and Roof Replacements, with associated plans approved to go out to bid. Updates were provided on the Student Success Center Paras, the restructuring plans for the 5th grade for the 26-27 school year, and the district's late start Mondays professional development overview. Cohort testing score trends were presented, along with an update on the District's Annual Performance Report. The Board reviewed and approved several MSBA policy updates and associated forms and procedures. Superintendent comments noted a generous donation to cover lunch balances, an upcoming food pantry drive, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the bond projects.

The meeting commenced with the President calling the open session to order. The board approved the regular agenda. Subsequently, the board voted unanimously to adjourn the regular meeting and enter into a closed session to discuss matters pursuant to Missouri Law Section 610.021 (3)(13). The regular open session was later reconvened, and the meeting was adjourned.
