Monticello City Council Regular Meeting Minutes
The City Council meeting addressed various community and administrative items, including concerns regarding potential data center development and its alignment with the Comprehensive Plan. Updates were provided by the Parks, Arts, & Recreation Commission, the Sheriff's Office, and Public Works. The Council approved numerous consent items, such as payments of bills, new hires, charitable donations, special event permits, and lease agreements. Contracts were approved for SCADA integration services at the Water Supply Treatment Plant and mixer repairs at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Council also adopted resolutions and ordinances related to land use, zoning amendments for residential density and design standards, and the adoption of the Monticello 2040 Vision + Plan amendments.
