This initiative outlines goals for advancing Artificial Intelligence capabilities within Arizona by developing comprehensive educational programs. Key priorities include establishing the nation's first certificate, associate's, and bachelor's degrees in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, fostered through a strategic partnership with Intel. The program aims to provide students with practical, industry-relevant skills using state-of-the-art facilities, share best practices with other educational institutions, and promote responsible and inclusive AI development across the state, ultimately shaping the future of AI in the region.

The event celebrated the graduation of the 36th nursing cohort and marked the 20th anniversary of the Chandler Gilbert Community College nursing program, which has graduated 1100 nurse candidates in total. The ceremony included recognition of graduates' significant investment in structured learning (classroom, lab, clinical/simulation hours) and independent study. Key acknowledgments were made to faculty, clinical partners, administration, and staff, including a senior administrative assistant who prepared many pinning ceremonies. The event also recognized supporting entities such as the Vice Mayor of Gandler, military service members, veterans, and currently practicing nurses. Specific segments included inducting outstanding students into the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society, recognizing members of the Student Nurses in Action (SNI) club for their community service projects (including fundraising for pins and toy drives), honoring student mentors, and presenting the peer-voted Florence Nightingale Award to Kinsey Bossy Luke.

Chandler-Gilbert Community College's strategic direction focuses on providing quality, accessible lifelong learning opportunities within a dynamic and diverse learner-centered environment. The college is committed to student success through university transfer education, workforce development, academic and student support services, and continuing education. Key strategic goals include delivering quality educational programs, offering developmental courses, supporting community economic development, leveraging technology for instruction, enhancing student support, promoting community service and student development, fostering diversity, and serving as a community resource.

The Student Learning Plan for Chandler-Gilbert Community College aims to enhance student learning and foster a culture of evidence by guiding academically-focused groups. It is structured around four strategic visions: ensuring academic excellence and quality of learning through assessment and impactful teaching; improving student retention and completion by reducing barriers and aligning with institutional priorities; supporting faculty and staff professional development to aid student success; and cultivating belonging, community, and culture by promoting equity, inclusivity, and empowering students to become informed global citizens.

The 2023 Strategic SEM Plan for Chandler-Gilbert Community College aims to empower students through inclusive learning and community engagement, aspiring to be the preferred college in the Southeast Valley by delivering impactful and innovative learning pathways. The plan identifies three core vision areas to be completed over a three-year span, with goals extending to June 30, 2027. These areas focus on increasing student enrollment, enhancing student retention and support to achieve academic and personal goals, and improving graduation and transfer rates. Key initiatives include assessing re-entry data, aligning programs with market demand, increasing FAFSA completion, and strengthening student belonging and financial resource awareness.
