Wheeling University's 2020-2024 strategic plan focuses on revitalizing the institution while enhancing its Catholic mission. The primary goal is to achieve self-funding of educational operations by 2024 through increased enrollment and revenue generation. Four key initiatives support this vision: (I) a vibrant student educational experience, emphasizing co-curricular activities, internships, and career placement; (II) five successful areas of study (Arts, Sciences & Theology; Business; Engineering & Construction Management; Education; and Health & Allied Sciences), each with tailored programs and marketing; (III) global awareness of Wheeling University, increasing international student enrollment and global engagement; and (IV) operational excellence, improving processes, technology, and employee engagement. The plan aims to increase student retention, enrollment, international student numbers, and alumni giving participation, while achieving financial sustainability and enhancing the university's reputation.
