The council meeting covered several community concerns and administrative updates. Public input focused on charges for storm debris removal, requests for stricter enforcement of fireworks ordinances, property code enforcement regarding roosters and creek overgrowth, and trash collection scheduling. The council discussed the successful acquisition of a city-owned property in Midway Village for park expansion and provided updates on the procurement of printing equipment for neighborhood watches. Additionally, members celebrated the receipt of a $300,000 grant for the extension of the Bomber Trail, reviewed upcoming police department initiatives, and discussed the necessity of a future joint session with the planning commission and board of adjustment to coordinate long-term planning.

The board discussed a building code variance application regarding a garage-to-living-space conversion at 4713 Crest Place, which was ultimately tabled to allow for further clarification from the applicant. Additionally, board members provided input on the city's provision of computer and printing resources to support neighborhood watch groups.

The board meeting featured a manager's report covering updates on the nonprofit expo, the TIF district review, the Rose Lane project, and efforts regarding welcome signage and local veteran recognition. A presentation was held for the June 2026 Dining in Del City recipient. The board also formally adopted the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

Discussion topics covered the rebranding of a local restaurant, the reopening of a creative studio, beautification plans for City Hall, and upcoming community celebrations. The Board approved a blanket purchase order for legal counsel and consulting services regarding economic development and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) matters for the upcoming fiscal year.

The council addressed several items, including the approval of property abatement costs for multiple locations, a lawn and landscape services contract, and a household hazardous waste disposal agreement. Additionally, the meeting covered jail service contracts with the Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Authority, the appointment of members to the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustment, and the adoption of the fiscal year 2026-2027 budget and pay classification charts. A release regarding a legal claim against the city was authorized. Furthermore, the council approved professional services agreements for bond counsel and initiated a special election process for the issuance of general obligation bonds to fund public safety equipment and outdoor warning system improvements.
