The meeting focused on two primary agenda items. First, the committee discussed and recommended a partnership with the New Orleans Center for Hope and Change to provide school-based behavioral health services to students, aiming to improve accessibility for counseling and psychiatric support. Second, the committee debated the ratification of boundaries for the Opelousas Special Taxing District, a measure previously approved but delayed due to leadership changes and unresolved boundary definitions.
