The Lemon Grove School District's five-year strategic plan, grounded in the vision that its learners will be tomorrow's leaders, workers, and citizens, aims to foster educational equity through multi-tiered systems of support. The plan is structured around three LCAP goals, derived from four strategic priorities: enhancing student and staff growth, leadership, and achievement through culturally relevant practices and professional development; building school community and connectedness via social-emotional learning, restorative practices, and robust family engagement; and optimizing operational systems to support schools effectively. This strategic direction seeks to ensure all students are prepared for college, career, and lifelong learning.

This Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for the 2026-27 school year serves as a guide for the Lemon Grove School District, derived from its broader strategic plan. It focuses on three primary goals: fostering student and staff growth, leadership, and achievement through rigorous, culturally responsive instruction and targeted academic supports; enhancing school community and connectedness by promoting parent involvement, student engagement, and a positive school climate to reduce absenteeism and suspensions; and fostering efficient operational systems, including facility improvements, technology modernization, and nutritious meal options, to support effective schools. The plan aims to improve outcomes for all students, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of high-needs student groups such as multilingual learners, students with disabilities, foster youth, and low-income students.
