Additionally, the commission approved the formation of a Discover Aberdeen subcommittee and funding for a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. The discussion also addressed city employment vacancies, partnership strategies, a 501(c)(3) designation pursuit, pickleball tournament updates, local infrastructure and safety concerns, and the implementation of a new municipal alert text platform.
