This Annual School Planning document for East Newark Elementary School outlines strategic goals for the 2026-2027 school year, focusing on improving academic achievement in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics, and enhancing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and school climate. Key priorities include reducing the percentage of K-8 students performing at Tier 3 in ELA and Math through differentiated instruction, regular progress monitoring, and targeted intervention sessions. Additionally, the plan aims to decrease out-of-school suspensions by implementing a structured SEL curriculum and embedding a common SEL language across all grade levels, supported by family engagement efforts.
