This document outlines the Goodhue County Education District's Local Literacy Plan, mandated by the Minnesota READ Act. Key components include universal screening for foundational reading skills and dyslexia characteristics in grades K-12, data-driven decision making for interventions, parent notification and involvement, the utilization of evidence-based Tier 1 curricula and intervention resources, management of Literacy Aid Funds, and a comprehensive professional development plan for educators.
