Furthermore, the Board approved the appointment of a Regional Superintendent and the IOWA, as well as the 534 Meal Charge Policy. The meeting concluded with MN Regional Superintendent's Reports.

This Model Policy establishes curriculum and instruction goals for charter schools, ensuring alignment with Minnesota Academic Standards, federal law, and the pursuit of comprehensive achievement and civic readiness. It outlines a long-term strategic plan framework that requires defined goals for student achievement, processes for assessing progress, and mechanisms for evaluating instruction and curriculum effectiveness. Key areas of focus include strategies for improving academic outcomes, equitable teacher distribution, and the implementation of antiracist and culturally sustaining educational practices to foster inclusive learning environments and support diverse staff.

This policy establishes a clear mission statement for the charter school, founded on community beliefs and values, to guide decisions and change efforts. The Minnesota Math and Science Academy (MMSA) is dedicated to college preparation through a rigorous curriculum focused on reading, mathematics, science, and technology. The mission aims to foster an effective learning environment characterized by mutual respect, clear goals, and a culture that celebrates learning. The vision is ambitious, targeting high proficiency in state tests, high student and staff retention rates, excellent parent and student satisfaction, active community involvement, productive partnerships, and engaging extracurricular activities, all supported by a strong character education program.

The board covered topics such as mission and vision, public comments, and board business. The agenda included discussion and approval of finances and EFT authorization, MN Regional Superintendent's Reports, Math Board Monitoring Report, Launch of 2025-2026 School Improvement Strategy & Benefits-Based Accountability (BBA), MTSS Update, and 25-26 Panorama Survey Update.
