Director and Commissioner reports covered ongoing recruitment efforts, the planning of upcoming district events such as Classified School Employee Week and May Day, and recognition of staff service awards.

The committee discussed Open Education Week activities, including various workshops and student panels, and reviewed the handling of communications from Follett regarding textbook purchases, determining it fell outside their purview. Strategic planning progress was reviewed, including counting dual enrollment sections toward ZTC/LTC goals. The committee analyzed success data for ZTC and non-ZTC designated courses and reviewed the status of the OER award program, noting current applications and the upcoming selection timeline. Additionally, faculty concerns regarding textbook adoption processes and requests for support regarding Spanish-translated course materials were addressed.

The Personnel Commission discussed updates on the reclassification process and reviewed reports on temporary employees and the quarterly budget. The commission also reviewed the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year. A consent agenda was approved, which included establishing eligibility lists for various positions and classifying new and limited-term positions across several departments. The Director reported on recruitment activities, recent professional development opportunities for staff, and upcoming workshops, while commissioners shared feedback on their attendance at professional conferences.

The Personnel Commission discussed updates regarding the reclassification and classification maintenance process, reviewed the status of classified temporary employees, and received the quarterly budget update for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The Commission acted on several consent items, including the approval of eligibility lists for various district positions such as Custodian, Human Resources Manager, Electrician, and Executive Assistants, as well as extending limited-term positions for Job Developer and Financial Aid Assistant. Additionally, the Director provided a report on recruitment activities, upcoming workshops, and workforce continuity projects.

The committee discussed processing requests for recorded webinar trainings, reviewed the operating agreement for the yearly review, and worked on updates for the Travel and Conference webpage, including clarifications on reimbursement timelines. A modification to a previously approved funding request was reviewed and granted. Several funding requests for travel were evaluated, with four requests approved for a total of $6,400 in addition to the modified request, bringing the total approved funding for the meeting to $6,508.
