South Dakota Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes
The Commission discussed conflict of interest disclosures, set a future administrative hearing date for speed zone rule amendments, and reviewed the open meeting brochure. The Secretary’s Report covered updates on federal funding legislation, extensions for Highway Infrastructure Program funds for local governments, a BUILD grant award, updates on the Platte/Winner Bridge letting date, and the completion of work on the SD1806 slide/Smith property. Informational construction change orders were presented and reviewed. The Commission also approved bids for several infrastructure projects, including structure repair and high friction surface treatment, and authorized the abandonment of highway right-of-way properties in Brookings and Turner counties.
