Safety and Security Committee Meeting Minutes
The committee reviewed the 2023-2024 threat assessment and discussed the potential creation of a student mentor program. The exterior door safety log was reviewed, and campus safety needs were addressed, specifically focusing on perimeter fences, crosswalk painting, and school zone signage grant opportunities. Preparation for the upcoming intruder detection audit was discussed, along with a review of the Emergency Operations Plan, which includes the Cybersecurity and Multi-Hazard annexes due in September. Additionally, the committee discussed strategies for partnering with local law enforcement to increase presence.
