This 10-year Affordable Housing Strategy for the City of St. John's aims to produce, protect, and promote affordable housing by leveraging city capacities and building strong partnerships. It seeks to create a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving city with diverse housing options that foster community health, sustainable growth, and economic security. The strategy is built upon six strategic directions: Unlocking Resources, Building Homes, Leading Innovation, Revitalizing Policy, Cultivating Partnership, and Informing Action.
