The Board authorized several owner contingency allocations for the adult detention and law enforcement center. Furthermore, the Board approved the acceptance of a grant from the Georgia Office of Homeland Security for the purchase of equipment for the Sheriff's Emergency Response Team, with corresponding matching funds from the Sheriff's Asset Forfeiture account. Additionally, a grant from the Tides Foundation was accepted to procure laptop computers for public instruction at local libraries, and a property tax credit claim was approved.
