The work session included discussions on the 2026-2027 Services and Activity Fee budget and the overall 2026-2027 college budget. Additionally, the Board reviewed specific policies regarding the tenets of governing and training and development, and engaged in a discussion regarding the Aspen President and Trustee Collaborative.

The board meeting agenda included reviews of the Aspen President and Trustee Collaborative, updates to the Equity Statement board policy, and reviews of the Statement of Ethics and Ethical Values and Principles in Public Service policies. Constituent reports were provided by the Associated Students of Clark College and the Washington Public Employees Association, followed by a presentation from the Dental Hygiene program. Board members and the President delivered their reports. Additionally, the Board reviewed financial statements for the college and foundation budgets and convened an executive session to evaluate the performance of a public employee.

The Board of Trustees discussed policy updates, received reports from the Associated Students of Clark College regarding student engagement and resource distribution, and heard updates from the Washington Public Employees Association on legislative budget developments. Nursing students shared their educational experiences and future career plans. Board members provided reports on their attendance at various legislative summits and community events, while the President highlighted the successful reaffirmation of the college's accreditation, expressed concerns regarding potential state funding impacts on the college budget, and commended campus engagement initiatives.

The board meeting included the approval of reaffirmed college mission and vision statements. Constituent reports highlighted growth in student club activities, the Penguin Pantry's food distribution efforts, and legislative priorities for classified staff. The Foundation reported significant fundraising progress and upcoming cultural events. A faculty presentation focused on new student success and engagement resources developed for mathematics courses. Board members shared highlights from college and community events, while the President announced the accreditation of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Teacher Education program and provided updates on institutional activities and community engagement.

The work session consisted of a presentation and training session on Safe Zone Training led by the Director of Employee Equity, Outreach, and Engagement.
