This Local Control and Accountability Plan for Oak Park Unified School District serves as a roadmap to outline the district's goals and how it will use funds, particularly for high-needs students, over a multi-year cycle. The plan is structured around three main goals: enhancing academic achievement for all students by narrowing achievement gaps and ensuring equitable outcomes; fostering a holistic learning environment focused on student wellness, safety, school culture, and reducing chronic absenteeism; and developing global citizens prepared for sustainable futures by equipping them with skills for global awareness, environmental consciousness, and college/career readiness. The plan emphasizes improved academic performance, student well-being, engagement, and preparing students for future success.
The meeting included a closed session focusing on labor negotiations and a superintendent evaluation. Following the closed session, the Board interviewed four candidates to fill a Board vacancy.
