The council meeting included the approval of accounts payable, a proclamation for Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, and a swearing-in ceremony for two sergeants in the police department. Additionally, the Mayor recognized National Public Works Week and the council discussed and passed a resolution to transfer funds from a land sale to the school district for the purpose of constructing new baseball fields.

Additional discussions covered the free tree distribution program for city residents and the ongoing mural project at the pump house.

Additionally, the meeting included a public comment session where citizens commended city administration efforts.

The council held a public hearing regarding the adoption of an updated three-mile plan, which was ultimately approved. The session also included the appointment of members to the local Airport Advisory Board and a presentation regarding the initiation of a 30-day public comment period for a new land use development code. Additionally, the City Clerk provided information regarding the upcoming CML conference and updates on vendor licensing processes for local events.
