This report addresses extreme weather risk in a changing climate by enhancing prediction and protecting communities. It recommends a national effort to quantify extreme weather risks, improve the ecosystem for climate risk assessment, and develop a national adaptation plan. The plan aims to provide individuals, communities, and the federal government with information and guidance to prepare for and adapt to extreme weather events, ultimately protecting lives, livelihoods, and property.
