The Board approved three construction applications: a one-story addition and in-ground swimming pool at 105 Sheldon St, an in-ground pool requiring a variance for accessory lot coverage at 107 Harding Rd, and a two-story addition to the rear of the dwelling at 350 Smith Pl.

The Board of Adjustment approved three residential projects. These include the construction of a covered portico at 635 Quackenbush Ave, the infill of an existing porch to expand living space and create a new entry at 35 Ravine Ave, and an expansion to a single-family home at 76 Wyckoff Ave which required a side yard setback variance.

The board discussed multiple property applications, including approvals for a swimming pool and drainage improvements at 105 Sheldon St, approval of an in-ground pool construction at 107 Harding Rd, and a two-story rear addition at 350 Smith Place. An application for 490 Vance Ave was postponed until June 18th. Additionally, the board reviewed a proposed house renovation at 284 Village Place, which was also carried over to the June 18th meeting following concerns from neighbors regarding building mass, tree removal, and drainage.

The committee meeting included presentations for scholarship winners and student junior environmental commissioners, the approval of several resolutions, and the introduction of ordinances. Key agenda items included the redemption of a tax sale certificate, the acceptance of a grant for police protective equipment, the recognition of Pride Month, the approval of a disabled veteran property tax exemption, and certification of the annual audit. Additionally, the committee authorized various event permits, including centennial celebration activities and an outdoor community watch party, and discussed updates to application fees and escrow requirements for planning and zoning board applications.

The commission reviewed several 2026 projects including the purchase of additional composters, coordination for the Team Up to Tidy Up event, planning for the Fishing Derby, and booth arrangements for the Centennial Street Festival. Discussions were held regarding a potential food waste recycling pilot program, the installation of pickleball recycling bins, and the organization of the Wyckoff Green Film Series. Additionally, the commission covered Planning Board updates regarding a new restaurant, preparations for an upcoming Arbor Day tree planting, participation in the Sustainable Jersey HUB, and the promotion of the Junior Commissioner program for the upcoming school year.
