This document outlines the purpose, scope, and responsibilities of the Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Experience Committee. The committee's primary goal is to establish strategies and action plans to enhance college recruitment, retention, and student completion. Key focus areas include aligning the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Plan with other institutional plans, reducing equity gaps, improving student experience, and developing innovative programs and retention strategies through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

The strategic plan for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at St Cloud Technical and Community College (SCTCC) focuses on supporting, promoting, and enhancing the growth of best practices in education to increase student engagement, learning, and success. The plan emphasizes professional development, innovation, inclusion and equity, engagement, and student success. It outlines a phased approach to implementing various programs and services, including workshops, support opportunities, short courses, book clubs, and online resources, with the goal of reaching all faculty and improving teaching practices and institutional culture.

The strategic plan for St. Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC) focuses on equitable participation in society, economy, and democracy through education, training, and support. It envisions a community of learners rooted in meaningful relationships where everyone belongs and thrives. The plan is guided by shared beliefs emphasizing empowerment through education, intrinsic value of every individual, enrichment through diversity, and the necessity of an antiracist and antidiscrimination ethos. Key components include a commitment to student success, equity in outcomes, and an empowering student experience through innovative programs, personalized services, and a welcoming environment.

The Safety Committee meeting covered various topics, including reports of personal injuries and illnesses (employee assault update and other injuries), accident investigations, property damage (fire alarm incident caused by oil leak), alleged hazardous working conditions (Sartell active shooter incident and fire lane parking complaint), follow-up on action items, plans and programs (Severe Weather Awareness Week and drills/tests), updates on walk-around inspections, building/campus security issues (interior electronic access and exterior cameras), employee safety training, job hazard analyses, and an open floor discussion (first aid kits).

This meeting reviewed the previous winter's weather events, noting slip and fall incidents and the efforts of Facilities and Safety to mitigate risks. Discussions included the effectiveness of snow removal strategies, concerns about snow pile locations, and the decision-making process for school cancellations. The meeting also covered plans for fall 2019 fire drills and spring 2020 severe weather drills, the need for additional emergency response exercises, a review of personal injuries and illnesses, COPE inspection reports, building security issues (including access control and video surveillance upgrades), and the status of employee safety training.
