The meeting included updates on ACSBA, PAC, Outlook Academy, and the Early Childhood Advisory program. The Board reviewed the Hillside, Transition Center, GSRP, Tech Center and Transportation Handbooks and Manuals, as well as the 2024-2025 Truancy Report. Updates were provided on Instructional Services, Specialized Instruction, Finance and Operations, and Technology. The 2024-2025 Final Budget Amendment Resolution and the 2025-2026 Budget Resolution were adopted, along with the Casino Revenue Distribution and Millage Request/L-4029. A resolution for 2025-2026 staff reductions was adopted. The Superintendent's evaluation and employment contract were approved, as well as the Associate Director/Hillside Principal salary adjustment and Administrator Contracts. The Board also approved the Board Organizational Meeting & Retreat for July 29, 2025, and the 2025-2030 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The meeting included an introduction of Kristin O'Mara to the Board. The Board discussed compensation. The Administration recommended the hiring of multiple people. The Board accepted resignations and terminations. Updates were provided on the ACSBA, PAC, Outlook Academy, the Early Childhood Advisory Committee, and the Safe Schools Network of Allegan Area ESA. The Board received combined reports from Instructional Services, Specialized Instruction, Hillside, Tech Center, Early Childhood, and Human Resources, as well as updates on Technology and Finance and Operations. The Financial Statement was reviewed. The Board agreed to change the October Regular meeting from Oct. 28th to Oct. 29th.

The plan is focused on academics and programs, aiming to develop high-quality, regionally coordinated educational programs. It also emphasizes creating a supportive culture and learning environment, recruiting and retaining qualified personnel, fostering community partnerships, and establishing stable funding for programs and services.
