Cayuga County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board Draft Minutes
The board reviewed a Notice of Intent regarding proposed solar projects in the Town of Victory, acknowledging efforts to minimize environmental impacts while expressing concerns regarding farmland conversion. The board approved a draft response letter to the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. Additionally, the board authorized a letter of support for the New York Agricultural Land Trust's staff capacity grant application. Due to identified conflicts of interest, the board conducted a re-vote on 2023 pre-applications for a Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) program and authorized the re-signing and re-submission of support letters for selected projects to ensure a conflict-free record.
