The plan is structured around three primary goals: achieving intentional growth by building 367,000 homes by 2035, reducing the affordability gap by 50% for low-income households, and activating vacant and underutilized properties to create new housing. These objectives are to be accomplished through a series of ten regional housing actions.
The meeting included an update from the Federal Highway Administration regarding activities and planning within Georgia, specifically focusing on grant awards and categorical exclusions. The committee discussed progress on the Mobility 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, focusing on the policy framework and project timelines.
