General updates were provided regarding site assessment fieldwork for the Intervale project and vapor work assessment completion at the South Brownell Road property, as well as an upcoming abatement bid meeting for the Milton Creamery property.

Each community provided updates on their current dispatch status and needs regarding Police and Fire services, with many interested in regional models but facing uncertainty without clear state direction or funding champions. The Board decided to maintain the current CCPSA governance structure and retain local funds through December 2025, pending state progress. Additionally, the Board discussed the Congressionally Directed Spending grant, recommending and ultimately authorizing the transfer of this funding to the State to support regional dispatch efforts, preventing the potential loss of the funds.

This Land Use and Transportation Plan for the Chamberlin Neighborhood, prepared for the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission and City of South Burlington, aims to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Chamberlin Neighborhood and Burlington International Airport. Its core objectives include fostering productive dialogue between the neighborhood and airport, strengthening the community through land use planning and affordable housing retention, identifying multimodal transportation improvements, and developing a vision for the re-use of Airport Acquisition Land. The plan provides an implementation strategy with prioritized civic and transportation improvements, alongside institutional arrangements, to create a harmonious and sustainable community.

The committee addressed several site nominations and assistance requests. Key discussions focused on the 314 North Winooski Avenue project, including the need for a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) to evaluate vapor intrusion, soil contamination, and hazardous building materials, with a potential allocation of remaining hazardous assessment funds suggested. For the Milton Grange property, the committee agreed to fully fund a Phase I ESA using petroleum funds, though a hazardous building materials assessment and QAPP were deemed unlikely within the prospective lease timeline. Additionally, the committee agreed to fully fund Phase I ESAs and hazardous building material assessments for the Town of Milton's projects related to the Route 7 intersection redesign, which involves the acquisition and potential demolition of two buildings. Updates were also provided on the successful award of an additional FY18 Brownfields Assessment Grant.
